M300 lever tailstock

A Harrison M300 lathe tailstock modified for lever operation. This is a spare tailstock, the original being retained for heavier drilling.

The tailstock was modified for lever operation to allow for faster use especially when drilling deep holes as it allows far faster entry and exit from the hole than the standard tailstock with screw operation. A nice benefit is the improvement in feel for what is happening at the cutting face.

The tailstock quill and casting are unmodified so can be reverted to standard if required.
